Designing our new space in Loffice Déri
October 27th
From the very beginning you were involved in the details of the design of our new coworking office in Déri Miksa Street, and now we’re putting the finishing touches to it! Find out more about the coworking space here, and we’ll be revealing the design secrets live soon.
The Loffice signature
From the beginnings, Loffice is known for a design-sensitive approach when it comes to creating offices thanks to the creative makers & designers we have in our community. One of our owners, Ulrike Rein for example is also a prolific painter among her other expertise (hint: find her works on the walls of Loffice). The main consultant & contractor for our interiors is the finest team of Szupernova Design for more than a decade now, while our resident graphic designer, Willem Van de Ven is not only responsible for the brand visuals of Loffice but he is also the co-creator of the metal shading system on our Salétrom st. building’s facade.
Materials & shapes
The new Loffice space is situated on the ground floor of a modernist residential building from the ’30s, and this set the guiding lines for the interior planning. Our intention was to create a 2022 take on the mentality of the building’s architect, Imre Szőke & the organising power of his works: the Bauhaus era. We envisioned a clean open-plan space with white walls and greyish vinyl flooring. Then, to break up this neutrality, some playful details were added such as curved carpet-inserts, arched doorway to the call booth, a curved wall for the toilets.

Colours & lights
The restrooms are carachterized by a brave colour choice (we keep it a surprise) so you can surely take a break from work here. Some pops of reds will be ensured by iconic Loffice furniture - a sofa or the well-known lockers for example - and some pops of yellow thanks to the carpet inserts. The space is indulged in plenty of natural light courtesy of the huge street-front shop windows. Speaking of street-front: hopefully we’ll continue to enjoy the rays of the setting sun at the mini-terrace we set up on the renovated Déri Miksa promenade.
